Re: Problem adding debit card

HI, My problem isn't quite the same, I tried to update my card which was about to expire, I went to the update page and followed the instructions but it wouldn't let me edit the expiration date and C code, so I called Customer service ( that's where the plot thickens) I told the girl I talked to that the number and all info was the same on the card, just a updated expiration date and C code, but she told me to delete the card then reenter the informaton on the updated card and everything would be great, well needless to say it wasn't Great, now my card number is blocked from being entered, so I thought easy fix, ran to the bank to have that card canceled and a new card issued, Wrong again, the bank told me that they wouldn't issue a new card just  because Pay Pal had my card number blocked on a good account, so here I set with a Pay Pal account that is no good for making payments to Ebay sellers because most will not accept E-Check which is all I have left thanks to customer service.  I did buy a lot for my collections from Ebay but now can't. I called customer service a second time and asked if anyone could remove the block on my card number and was told no-one in Pay Pal could remove the block so I set here with a account with no Credit card attached. shurly to goodness there is someone who can remove the block in Pay Pal or Ebay without a big problem other than with me? My card has only been on my one account and removed only once (at the direction of Customer Service) why can't I re-add the card number and get this mess fixed @PayPal_david wrote: Hi guys,   If you are being advised that you are unable to register the card as it has been registered to other accounts previously, you may not be able to ever register the card again on PayPal.   Once a card has been registered to the third different PayPal account, our system will disable the card from being registered on the website again. You can try contacting customer services if you wish in order to see if there is anything more that we can do but I can't guarentee that we can do anything to be honest.   David. ? Thanks Dave. ... Re: Cannot Renew My Visa Card - Paypal ignores me

Hi, I am having the same problem here in the US. with my Visa card, it expired the end of Feb. this year, so I followed the instructions from the Pay Pal email to renew, it wouldn't work so called customer service who told me to delete the card then reenter the card info, I told her the number on my card was the same just updated expiration date and C code, she told me to do it anyway so I did with her on the phone now I am in the same boat my card number has been blocked so it can't be reentered so now I have no card attached to my account so can't make payments to buy anything on Ebay. I called a second time to CS and was told there is nothing anyone at Pay Pal can do to unblock my number so I went to my bank to have my card canceled and get a new one with a different number issued and was told they wouldn't do it just because Pay Pal wouldn't accept a good number. Now what do I do? Pay Pal can't unblock my number, the bank won't issue a new number and I was told by CS on the second call that I wasn't the only one having trouble updating cards that it was a glitch in Pay Pal's security software. That was in the end of Jan. It is now March and still no fixes and Pay Pal doesn't seem all up in the air to fix it, if in fact there is a glitch. Surely there is someone with Pay Pal or Ebay that can unblock a Card number from their own system isn't there? I need some help here I Ebay a lot and don't want to Quit because I don't have another card either. Thank you, Dave. @PayPal_Adrian wrote: willythecat -   It sounds like you may have solved this, but I wanted to respond in either event and provide steps to get to the UK website directly if you need it in the future.    I'm sorry you keep being redirected to the PayPal France local site.  We don't post direct numbers to customer service in the Community (as it might change in the future), but I do have a way for you to get a UK number directly off the site.   First, just to be on the safe side, clear out your browser cache and cookies.  This will clear out any old PayPal cookies you have that may throw a wrench into this.   Next, don't go directly to PayPal.com.  Instead, type this into your browser or use the link:   https://www.paypal.com/uk   That will take you directly to the UK website. Once there, click on Contact Us at the bottom.  Select call us on the left, then Call PayPal Customer Service on the right.   Don't log in when asked.  If you log in, it will display a number for France (unless you'd like to speak to a French representative).   Instead, click on "Continue" in the right hand box.  This will force it to display the UK phone number.    Hope this helps you or someone else,   Adrian   ...
