Last Friday night I started getting PayPal emails asking if I wanted to stay logged in on 'this trusted device'. The device was not mine. Moments later another email saying I had authorised a payment of 100 euros to a German company. This I also had not done. I attempted to cancel the transaction via PayPal but it did not allow this, nor would it allow me to open a case against the transaction as the transaction was pending. I immediately called PayPal, I was assured that the transaction would not go through and a case would be opened on behalf. Today the transaction went through and $170 has come out of my bank account. I opened my own case that has since been closed stating it shows no fraudulent activity. I again called PayPal who also said the transaction was authorised by me. No it wasn't. Another case was opened, however this time the PayPal staff member has called it item not received! And we now have to wait and give the seller time to respond. I feel like I am just getting the run around. Does anyone have any advice.
