Hi, I'm wondering if someone can help me. Long story short I no longer have access to the number attached to the account and therefore can't login. I've tried emailing PayPal (to which they sent a reply to the account that I can't get into instead of my email address, despite the email being specifically about not being able to get into the account). I've tried contacting PayPal on Facebook where I was told they can't help and I have to call up. I've tried calling up and the first question I was asked was what my old phone number was which I couldn't give them for the following reason. The phone number was only used specifically for PayPal. Therefore I never gave it to anyone nor did I have any reason to write it down. Thus I can't give it to whoever answers the call. The phone number was cancelled (by my useless mobile provider without any prior warning, but that's a different story) and because of that I didn't have the opportunity to change the number on the PayPal account. Maybe it's possible to get around this by answering the security questions, but because the account is at least 10 years old I don't know what those answers are. Maybe it's possible to delete the old account and make a new one, but I can't be sure whether funds are in the old account and, if so, I don't really want to lose them because of a problem that I didn't create. Even if that isn't possible and I need to make a new account, I don't feel much like going through every other account I have a PayPal account linked to and cancelling the old recurring payments on them to set up another one, again, because of a problem that I didn't create. Considering how often this kind of question comes up, and for how long it's been going on for, I would have thought by now that PayPal would have came up with a more sensible, or at least easier, solution. I've only made this account to ask this question. I would have used my regular account, but you need to be logged in to do that...which doesn't really help when the whole problem is that I can't login to the account. Any help anyone can give I would appreciate. Thanks.
