Hey everyone, I've have an inactive PayPal account that I rarely use. Recently, I got this collections letter, and at first, I thought it was a scam. After reaching out to PayPal multiple times, I found out there was some activity on my account unknown to me. I ended up paying the amount because they would not resolve it. The collections agency continues to want more money from me. What's frustrating is that there was absolutely no attempt to contact me before they went to collections, no email, phone call nothing about this mystery debt that I had zero knowledge of. Now not only do I have to pay paypal, I have to pay x3 as much to the collections agency How is this ethical, how is this legal? Thanks for any advice or similar experiences!
