Hi All, I purchased using PayPal train tickets through a third-party service and my train has been cancelled due to a strike. The train company declined to refund or exchange tickets because it was not me but the third-party service that purchased the tickets for me. This means they had to apply for a refund on behalf of me. I informed third-party service about the issue and 23 days later they informed me that the complaint had been submitted on my behalf. Ofocurce they did not forward any confirmation to me. Because of their slow customer support, they submitted my complaint to the train company after the 10-day deadline set by the latter. We are still waiting for the refund from the train company but I guess the chances are low as they submitted the complaint later if at all. Could someone tell me if I am entitled to get the refund through dispute resolution considering the situation? I have confirmation from the train agency about the cancelled train. Thank you!
