Thanks for the link. They did answer but were not at all helpful. They didn't close the account or remove my email (because it was confirmed - yes by me because they don't let you login now until you do that right, so go figure). They told me the same things that I told them about the situation and offered no actual solution. They did remove my UK phone number, but because they raised a ticket rather than just answering by email I needed to log into the account, which I could only do once I'd re-added and then reconfirmed the phone number. Honestly it's like they a) didn't even really try and b) don't understand the basics of personal information, fraud or how their own systems work. 0/10 so far. I did ask them specifically now to just close the account, which I hope they will do, but nothing so far.
