Right, so it sounds like there isn’t anything more I can do? I’m not going to twist my dad’s arm to share these documents with PayPal, especially after the mistake was mine. Is there any action I can take, either asking Dad’s card company to close the disputed transactions, or to remove my financial data from PayPal, or close my PayPal account now that PayPal has let me know there isn’t any other way to resolve the issue? By the way, Dad said he would be willing to submit the documents required by PayPal if he could redact irrelevant sensitive data, still leaving all the requirements for the documents stated by PayPal, but PayPal says if there are any redactions on the documents, they will be rejected. I have had my PayPal account for almost a decade and haven’t had a single case of fraud to my name. I absolutely understand PayPal’s policies, but you’d think if I were a scammer I would be slightly more prolific. Also, my Dad’s name is on his credit card I used. We have the same last name. I dunno. Seems like there should be another way out of this.
