I recommend reaching out to Customer Support here and requesting an appeal be filed. When you request the appeal, reiterate that the item is a collectible that was damaged upon arrival due to shipping. There is a chance you will be asked to return the item for a full refund rather than receiving the partial if the merchant doesn't agree to it, but hopefully, this clarification will help.
