Don't disagree with your advice but my point is that I never ordered the item in the first place but somehow my information was compromised. The fact that subsequently I received an email from Paypal stating they noticed "Unusual Activity" confirms that something was going on. I have since changed my password.  By the way, there are many complaints about the vendor and the shipping agent. But I did notice the same damn peeler being offered under different names. ... As was recommended after first claim was rejected.  I submitted an additional submission to l claim appeal on Nov 10th and heard nothing as yet. Subsequent to that submission I received a notice form Paypal advising of "Unusual Activity" so I had to change my password. The whole point here is that my original claim was that I never ordered the item, vegetable peeler, in the first place. The vendor was Giske Trading Company and the shipping agent identifies as [removed] If you google these names there are abundant complaints about their shoddy practices, which paypal appears to be turning a blind eye to. I suggest that customer service at Paypal review these entities and their business relationships as many on this forum and many others have had serious issues. I was charged by this Giske outfit for a vegetable peeler I never ordered in the first place. Total was 35.66. Item was around 22 and they added tax of over 7 bucks. Never ordered this thing and questioned PayPal and they said purchase was consistent with my activity. Bizarre answer. I use Amex so I have filed with Amex and new claim with PayPal. Doesn’t appear PayPal is protecting me at all. Why should I even bother with them? ... View more
