Thanks for the links and suggestions. However, I have tried them all. The messaging thing is an AI bot. Then they just close my query. When I call during business hours I am on hold for 30 min then give us. I need a human to fix this.  They won't let me leave LOL. I have lost all trust in this company. Let me close my account. Funny, I have a zero balance in my PayPal account, and was able to remove both of my bank accounts that fund transactions on PayPal, so there is no way to pay for "pending transactions" that were cited as a reason I can't close my PayPal account, I even checked future activity and there are no transactions found.  I had two subscriptions that were auto-pay but were recently paid so they aren't due until earliest November 22nd, which I cancelled, and still, I cannot close my account.  Seems like some illegal activity going on here, maybe SEC fraud?  Hey PayPal, are you trying to prevent loss of membership to not alarm your shareholders? ... It was recommended at facebook paypal that I close all associated accounts. I closed xoom without an issue. I waited a full day then went back to close paypal but had the same popup that blocked the close and returned me to the account screen. I tried contacting help / contact but it only leads to a FAQ page. Also "shouldn't be so hard. wow" is not helpful, please stay away until you mature.
