Last week I received an invoice from paypal.com for $5000 USD from some company in Arizona. This invoice was fraudulent as I have never ordered the items listed and I am based in the UK. I immediately reported the invoice on paypal.com as a fraud however a few days later I received another email from paypal.com saying they had paid half of the amount. I went to my paypal.com account and can find no trace of the transaction. Clearly this is a lot of money. Can anyone tell me why I received this original invoice? Why have PayPal appeared to have paid half from my account? And why on earth aren't PayPal communicating with me to tell me that I haven't lost money to fraud? Many thanks
