I understand that. The scary thing is that their email looks exactly like PayPal. Their email even contained ‘PayPal would address you by your name and surname’ which they did. Even at the end of the email that says ‘for any enquiries visit PayPal.com but visit via browser and then login, etc. I emailed their email address to paypal to verify it. When they informed me it is a fake website, it was too late. They said if they got me late then I must go to their website and navigate to help then to security then scams and fraud. Then resolve payments to resolve my issue. I must just have the necessary documents and proof that it occurred. But I can’t get pass the first step which is asking for the email of the person who I’m opening a case or issue with. That’s why I thought it would be easier to speak to someone from customer care. But I have no luck. Or I can’t find how to get in contact with anyone from PayPal.
