Hello all,
Not sure if this is a specific question, a rant, or a warning.
If you search this forum for the word" limited",you will see as of late there are TONS of posts about people losing access to their Paypal funds.
I even saw a news article on it recently and thought "wow, they have always been good to me".
That was until recently.
My account is 18yr old, 14yr as a business account, 11yr in the same location, same business model.Anywhere from $25-60k/yr in transactions. Well, this week, I finish a job, card reader is acting up, so I keyed in the transaction just as I have many times."Here" accepts the payment "success", my tool truck pulls up to the shop and I try to run my Paypal debit card for far less than I ALREADY HAD in my account - DECLINED. My ENTIRE account is frozen!
I login and see I need to upload an ID, tell more about my business, and more about that specific transaction. I do them all and nothing happens. Call in,support tells me a few hours. Next day I call and they tell me end of day. Next day, they tell me it can be now up to 7 days...or more! Now I log in here and see there's PILES of posts about this situation, many people are 180days out and have not received their monies yet.
So, then I call and ask if I can refund the transaction and have my other money back, they say no, the account will remain locked, and I will not be able to access my money (that I had BEFORE this transaction). Luckily this particular transaction is a neighbor in the building, so I will be able to get them to do another form of payment, but I would be cautious if you are reading this.
Does any of this seem suspicious to anyone else? If you Google search "Paypal is freezing accounts", there's a lot of recent posts, and Paypal is being sued for it under racketeering laws....
