Recently, I purchased a vinyl box set from a seller and paid via PayPal. After waiting three weeks and then not getting a reply from the seller, I opened a dispute via PayPal. The seller provided tracking information showing that the item had supposedly been delivered and because of that, PayPal closed the case. I live in an apartment complex where the mail is placed in a secure area and that area has security cameras. When looking through, we found that the mail person wasn't here within the hour that the tracking says it was dropped off. When I went to the post office and they looked up the package info on their end, I found that: 1) The destination address for the package was not my address, even though the seller gave my correct address to PayPal for the case. 2) This package, which again is supposed to be a multi-album vinyl box set, was shipped as a 4 oz First Class piece of mail. I have the proof from the post office to prove my case. However, since I already had opened a case against this seller and PayPal closed it after they provided this fraudulent tracking, I cannot reopen it. Has anyone else ever experienced this problem and, if so, what can I do to get my money back, preferably with PayPal, but if not, with the credit card I used? Thank you very much for your help.
