Thank you for your post. I'm sorry for the concern this situation has caused. It sounds like the sender selected the option to send the payment for goods or services. When that happens, there is a transaction fee deducted. Additionally, the funds may be held for 21 days or until we can confirm that the buyer received their item/service. Since you mentioned that nothing was sold, you may want to reach out to the sender directly to ask that they confirm receipt through their PayPal account to release the hold.
