Let’s give community help a shot. Paid Priceline to rent car Via PayPal linked to bank account was refused service at car rental! (Suffice it to say Alamo works, Payless rental does not) never got to rent car called Priceline with explanation and they agreed to a refund over the phone. priceline emails me refund approval document refund should take place within ten days... it’s been 35ish and counting as of May 8th, today. priceline claims to have sent refund the day of cancellation... a month ago. priceline claims that my bank will see refund, to which I respond that they don’t. I used to work at a bank and unless it’s changed in ten years, auth codes only generate for purchases; refunds don’t track paypal shows no refund status. PayPal dispute is blocked by transaction type and precludes case from opening. $400 is floating around somewhere. How do I catch it? my thought is arbitration or mediation. PayPal over the phone is nothing beyond a help file being read to me. Priceline beats the same drum that everything is fine. In the old days, I could at least have someone to show my bank statements to.
