This issue all of a sudden stopped me using the mobile app yesterday. I've carried out extensively trouble shooting: restarted iPhone; deleted and reinstalled App; confirmed I can log in no problem on Mac and iPad using Safari, on iPhone and Microsoft Surface using Safari, Chrome and Edge; I took an old iPhone 6 and reset to factory so nothing whatsoever installed, installed PayPal App - same issue, checked with Safari and no problem logging it to PayPal. Unfortunately, I cannot try the answer above - logging into my account through a browser, I am unable to delete my mobile number as it's my primary number and the only number I have. So, I called PayPal and they were as useless as the App. Initially, they said that use of a VPN on the 25th had locked my account. Really? 1. So if my account is locked how come I can login on a wide variety of devices, both using WiFi and mobile network no problem? 2. How come I could use the App on the 15th, 16th, 17th no problem at all? They then re-thought the issue and said it was because I had logged in many times and that the system had locked my account. Really? How come I can continue to login as mentioned after the first excuse? PayPal then reset my security - guess what - Mobile App still does not work! After a very long time going round and round in circles - PayPal Support could NOT solve this problem and gave me their most technical solution - wait 48 hours and try again! Really? Millions of people around the world entrust PayPal with financial payments. It is supposed to be one of the most secure money transfer methods. Well, I guess it is so secure that even PayPal cannot resolve access issues - we should be grateful for small mercies. BUT, if PayPal are totally unable to know what is going on with access to accounts - how can they be trusted? Has anyone got any sensible ideas on how to resolve this very irritating issue? BTW: Every time I call the number shown in the Mobile App error message -<removed> - I get an automated voice saying, "This persons phone is unavailable", and the call terminates. Nice one PayPal. The only number that seems to work is +44 ([Removed. Phone #s not permitted]for anyone else trying!
