Hi, I made a paypal account in 2014 when i was 16. I used a fake name and only recently found out my account was restricted because i couldn't prove my identity of a fake name.Yes, using a different name was absolutely my fault as a teenager. Paypal asked me for driver's licence (which had my address on the front) and my passport. I gave it to them. Then they asked for the back of my driver's licence and insisted on it because according to them, it shows proof of address. However, my address was on the front of my driver's licence for Australian driver's licence, and showed nothing readily identifiable , but they kept insisting on it so i gave it to them. Now, even though my email actually had my correct name (not the fake name), and has always had my correct name since the creation of this account in 2014, they are saying that corresponding to my passport and driver's licence, is not enough to prove my identity. They are asking for bank statements, even though I have never added a bank account to Paypal and the bank account must match the statements with my legal name. How does this prove my identity over Passport and driver's licence? Does this process ever end? It's getting a little absurd now. I've never had any sanctions whatsoever on my 7 year old account
