See that’s the thing. I didn’t even have my paypal saved or logged in nor did I give them my password to it (I have been hacked before and so I don’t save paypal or any passwords online or on paper) and yet they somehow were able to use my credit card and paypal account to purchase the item. While yes I am responsible for who is on my account and who I share it with, I am not responsible for someone stealing and using my account/credit card without my knowledge. That’s like saying someone shouldn’t get their money reimbursed after it being stolen through a skimmer at a gas pump. Fraudulent charges are fraudulent charges and if I didn’t consent/ agree to the purchase nor did I receive said product purchased or have any knowledge of it then why would I be made to pay for it? I am currently also in the works of charging my friend criminally for this but I still believe I shouldn’t be paying for an item I never even had knowledge of being purchased nor consented to. In the end Paypal reviewed my appeal along with the screenshots of them admitting it was a fraudulent charge and so it was found to be in my favor.
