Are there any protections when purchasing something via PayPal when there is an issue with the address the item was to be shipped to? Specifically, the address the merchant tried to send to was completely invalid (and it doesn't match the verified address on the PayPal account). A simple address verification would have flagged the issue as the address the merchant attempted to ship to looked like:
John <Removed>
(yes, there is no street address at all, just the Name and the City/State/Zip)
Now it could have completely been my fault for not paying attention while entering the shipping address, but it also seems like the merchant hasn't done the most basic of address validation.
Is there any kind of buyer protection for a situation like this?
