Hi, I own and run a 3d printer webshop for some time now. The problems with PayPal are numerous. Sometimes the payment are on hold, sometimes they are not. 0 consistency that you, as a registered EU seller cannot rely upon. The problem I have/had is this. One of the devices I sell is ordered directly from the factory, due to its size and cost I do not keep it in stock. A customer ordered such a device and paid with paypal. Its cost is 3500EUR. Then PayPal put the funds on hold. This made it impossible for me to order the product from the factory. I do not have that kind of money lying around. I depend on trust from my customers and PayPal has ruined that trust and my reputation. Since i did not ship the product i had no tracking, so no funds. The problem is, as follows, when the payment arrived PayPal took its fee. I had to refund the customer because i could not proceed with the order. Ofcourse, PayPal did not waive its fee and i had to pay out of my own pocket to refund the full amount. Is this how things are usually done around here? First, PayPal made it impossible to order said product Second they took the fee Third after customer refund they kept the fee. Is this how it is supposed to be? If so, i am done with this platform.
