Hello, I would like to complain about the customer support of Paypal. After waiting for 180 days with my money locked I received an email which said that my funds are eligible for withdrawal. I tried to add my bank account and withdraw my funds but I received an error. I decided to contact Paypal's customer support via messages because all the phone lines are currently closed. (I have also a Transferwise bank account which is a similar company to Paypal and their phone lines are working properly) When I received a response from Paypal's customer support I was asked to provide a proof of ID document before I can withdraw my money. I sent them my passport and they told me to wait 72 hours but I waited another 10 days without any news if I can add my bank account or not. I was so nervous but I knew that I should be patient. I sent them numerous messages about my problem with the link of my bank account and I received each time a different answer from a different employee. Every response was not helpful at all and it was like I was talking with a robot and not a human. On 1st October I received a message which said that the problem was fixed and to try again to add my bank account. I tried it once again and I was very happy to see that I was able to withdraw my funds! After I made 3 withdrawals I received another response from another employee who blocked again my withdrawals and told me to send again a proof if ID. I started to believe that this is a scam by Paypal. They clearly state on their terms and conditions that after 180 days they will release the money for withdrawal but this has not happened. I notified my lawyer about the current situation as I had a lot of money on my Paypal account (more than 8000 Euros) and he told me that we can start a lawsuit against Paypal and that he will make an official complain to Better Business Bureau website. My lawyer told me that it's very strange that Paypal does not accept my documents as these documents have been used many times to various financial institutions in my country without any problem. I have sent my driver's license as an addition ID document and I am still waiting for my withdrawal of my funds.
