Hi. I've been getting persistent emails purported to be from Paypal, but I'm concerned that they're a phishing scam. When I tried to forward the email to their spoof@paypal.com email address it was returned as undeliverable - suspected phishing...which made me laugh! At the moment, they are not taking calls to their contact centre (COVID issues) and the message centre said that no agents are available. So, I'm pretty stuck trying to get answers on this.
The email says that I may not transact using funds I have received INTO my Paypal account and that it has to be transferred to an FNB account first. This could easily be a SARS rule, but something feels 'off'. Also, the email is from <removed>(won't let me use the @ sign for this email address in this post) and all the links go to epl.paypal-communication.com/... - very close, but feels wrong.
Anyone getting the same? Had any answers from Paypal about it?
