So the same exact thing happened to me and I have my money back. Here's what I did...first called my bank and they had me file an ACH dispute. They also put a stop payment on anything else to PayPal just in case. I messaged PayPal and they did eventually answer me within a couple hours but were not much help. The key thing to do and you must do this quickly, is change your password and choose the option to log out of all devices. This will prevent the POS who is doing this from getting back into your account. The reason you must move relatively quickly is because although the transfer isn't instantaneous, it is only a couple days to clear. Always good practice to check your bank accounts every 1-2 days anyway. My fraudulent transfer (theft) occurred in the middle of the night 9/2 and was due to hit my PayPal account 9/8. As soon as it hit my account last night, I transferred it back to my bank account. Once that clears, I'll attempt to remove my bank account (already deleted my credit card.) I imagine there will be difficulty deleting the bank account and closing PayPal but at least my account is secure for now. I still have no idea how this even happened...I don't recall clicking on any links or getting asked to provide my credentials to login to my PayPal? I hadn't used PayPal for over 2 weeks before this happened, nor do I use it much at all. When I do, it's always reputable vendors.
