Hello. I've been asked by the company I work for (a PBS affiliate serving Western New York and Southern Ontario) to create a PayPal/eBay account so that we may liquidate a record library from one of our stations and try to earn some money for that station. I've been trying for close to a week to get PayPal to accept several documents that, for anyone else, would confirm who we say we are, but PayPal is not accepting these documents as "proof of identity." I've submitted IRS forms W-9, and 990 - both contain our EIN numbers and correct addresses. I've submitted our IRS 501(c)3 designation letter that was originally dated in 1960 but was revised in 1983 due to a name change. I've submitted financial statements and even a voided check. I've also sent documents that state we are a charitibale organization. Each document has our full name and address on it. Everything has failed. PayPal wants something dated in the last 12 months, but our fiscal year is June to June; 2020 tax documents will not be available for a while. I'm unable to put our FULL NAME in my account profile because the name field truncates after a certain number of characters. Every time I ask to speak with someone from PayPal in their Message Center to point these issues out, I'm sent the same message from the "robot" over and over. The problem I see is that I can't get anyone at PayPal to put aside the script and actually READ the documents I'm sending, nor can I get anyone to answer any specific questions I'm asking. Is anyone able to assist me or know a way to reach someone at PayPal directly to try and get this resolved? Thank you so much for any assistance.
