i recently purchased an electric razor from a company called Manscaped. after what i thought was a completed purchase (i pay, they deliver), i received a new transaction notification 3months later for "a replacement blade". i later discover manscaped has already closed my account. in further investigation, i discover that the website has in fine print, stating that the purchase includes an acceptance of the purchase of a new blade every 3 months. here is a you tuber making a complaint about this very thing: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5QY7GOlGusY i believe this fine print is dishonest conduct and, when i raised it with Paypal, they supported Manscaped, by telling me i had agreed to a regular payment, even though i was never made aware of this (because i didn't read the fine print. I thought this dishonest conduct was behind us and we now had protection from this sort of thing, but apparently not.
