Earlier this year I purchased a "genuine" Diawa BG fishing reel on line, paying good money via PayPal. Eventually a cheap "no name" fishing reel arrived. The reel that arrived was nothing like I had ordered and it was immediately apparent I had been scammed. Attempts to resolve the issue with the seller proved to be useless, so I lodged a dispute with PayPal. Up until this incident I always felt safe purchasing on-line via PayPal, as PayPal advertise - (cut/paste from the PayPal website) - Protecting your Purchases: We understand that sometimes things don’t arrive as planned. So if an eligible item you’ve purchased online doesn’t arrive or arrives significantly different to the seller’s description, we can reimburse you for the full purchase price plus shipping costs, up to $20,000 per item. Unfortunately I found out that the PayPal Resolution Centre clearly doesn't read it's own company advertising. After numerous delays, the PayPal "resolution" was for me to return the reel - which was nothing like I ordered (at my expense) to the seller and then wait for the seller to provide me with a refund for the original purchase (but not the cost of returning the item). Attempts to communicate with PayPal have proven to be totally useless. I feel totally frustrated by the "resolution centre" process and lack of input or appeal that PayPal provides. Can anyone provide advice as to how I can appeal/communicate with the Resolution Centre?
