So I'm abroad in AUstralia at the moment and I created a paypal account whilst over here to help with sending friends money and vice-versa, etc. When asked to provide an address I provided the one I'm staying at right now which is actually my friends. This was the wrong thing to do apparently because I'm now being asked for verification, eg. rent, post, but obviously I cannot provide this. Legally I am still registered at my parents home in the UK, this is my forwarding address and should have been the address I first provided but obviously didn't. Now I can't change my address nor my country of residence and therefore cannot access my paypal balance or send money. How do I change this? I've tried the PayPal automated message service but no help. I feel like if there was a contact number I'd be able to explain my situation and they could use an override to change my address but I can't find a helpline number. Any ideas?
