Got an email from PayPal saying they can no longer investigate a fraudulent charge paid to their vendor through PayPal because I complained to my credit card company on this fraudulent charge made to this vendor. Here is my response to PayPal Dear PayPal, I disputed this claim with you first on June 16th 2020. You said that you opened the dispute but did not provide me with any solution. The money was paid through PayPal and I feel PayPal is trying to wash their hands on this now without taking into account their client's interest. Paypal is an independent company , should be able to conduct independent investigations on any fraud transactions. You have a responsibility to your clients who depend upon you and trust you with their purchases and payments. If you feel some one is fraudulently collecting payments from you, you should be able to take action on them. The credit card is another independent company and they can conduct their own investigations for their own clients. PayPal should have nothing to do with their investigations. Pay Pal should be in a position to ascertain the validity of their transactions. This vendor provided you with a false tracking number saying that the goods were delivered before the order was placed. They later apologized for sending you a false tracking number. That itself is a red flag right there. What was PayPal waiting for????? If you do not take immediate action on such vendors, you will have lots of unhappy clients. I read a similar complaint with a similar pattern posted on your site by some one else. They said that PayPal did not do anything to help them. I do hope someone at PayPal checks the PayPal community site. That is all about customer service improvements. Please google that company, there are so many complaints, people are saying they received false tracking numbers showing goods received before the date of placing order. This is a similar pattern to our tracking number sent by you which showed date of delivery before the date of placing order. We trust PayPal and it bothers us when such bogus companies are associated with your good name. When we first realized that this was a factitious vendor, we immediately reported to PayPal, Your response was that this is a genuine vendor and we need to wait and give them the benefit of doubt. Please verify this from my previous communications with PayPal. We sincerely believe that PayPal should have known about the validity of this company from previous complaints. If you had taken timely action on such vendors, it would have saved us. Kindly do not run away from your responsibilities. We expect a fair solution to this complaint.
