So this is my situation, I am a Sri Lankan citizen and resident (Paypal Sri Lanka does not support Paypal business or accept any payments as a processor, they only offer outgoing payments). Yet I have been working in Malaysia for the past 2 years (on contract/employment visa) and have bank accounts in Malaysia as well. I opened a Paypal business account in Malaysia using my Malaysian bank account and currently preparing to start accepting payments. Q1) Is it a mistake to open a Paypal account in Malaysia considering my current situation as a Sri Lankan citizen? Will it cause any problems? I wanted to accept card payments as well and proceeded to open a Stripe account using my Malaysian details, which during the process asked me for my Malaysian ID, which I do not have as I am not a citizen. Therefore, my only option was to open a LLC in the U.S in order to open a Stripe account. I have not incorporated an LLC yet, I am just considering my options to see if I am on the correct path. Q2) If the answer to Q1 means I won't be able to open a Paypal account using my Malaysian details, is it possible to open a Paypal business account using the LLC created in the U.S? Any advice on how I should proceed? Many thanks!
