Messages from PayPal sent more than 90 days ago

In my message center at the bottom it clearly says “Messages are available in the Message Center for 90 days from the day originally sent. If you would like a copy of any messages prior to that timeframe, please contact us” I have tried contacting PayPal to ask for copies of these older messages however the representative I spoke with told me that they don’t keep copies of messages past 90 days. I explained to her that it clearly says to contact customer service for help getting copies of these and she put me on hold to check with the back office. When she came back on the line she said that the back office told her they would have to look into this further to see if it was possible because no one had ever asked about this so it had never been done before. She said they would send me an email if they figure out how to retrieve them for me. This all sounds like some b.s. why would they say to contact them for older messages unless they could provide them if asked. Can someone please tell me who I need to talk to and what I need to do to get them to send copies of my past messages as well as how to get ahold of this person, if such a person exists? ... PayPal mistakes and limitations

So I filed a dispute about a charge I didn’t make and was even able to get a supervisor from PayPal to call me on the phone which I am gathering is nearly impossible to do now post-Covid 19, 2020. I was still on the phone with the agent and then I got a message saying that my account was permanently limited blah blah blah. The supervisor on the phone didn’t get it and neither did the one I was on chat with they said they would call me back after figuring out what happened. I sent a lot of messages over the next 2 weeks and the responses I was getting were clearly directed to a business account. I have a personal account. I received notifications for all of the messages that were sent back to me but the messages were never in my messages center. None of the previous messages between PayPal and I were either. This made me feel like a mistake had been made and my account was somehow mixed up with another account belonging to a business. The messages I got were for them and they were getting mine. Finally I got this response in my PayPal messages: Dear Jennifer <removed>, Thank you for contacting PayPal with your concern. We have received your appeal and, upon its review, your limited account access has been restored. We apologize for any inconvenience that you have experienced. You are free to log into your account and use our services. We appreciate your business and hope to continue serving your online payment needs. Please let me know if you need further assistance. Sincerely, Pravitha PayPal Account Review Department PayPal So when I said I still had more questions I got this response: Dear Jennifer <removed>, Thank you for contacting PayPal with your concern. Please call us by clicking Contact us at the bottom of any PayPal page. Sincerely, PayPal Account Review Department PayPal However it doesn’t give me the option to request a one time password and although I get further when I call than I used to it eventually just tells me that due to covid 19 and limited staff PayPal phone support is closed. How did I talk to PayPal because my once limited account is still not functional and I need to find out how all of this has effected my disputes we filed before this all started They total several thousand dollars. Trying to start a chat session is what I did immediately and when chat was unavailable I tried again, and again, and again each time I would only find chat was unavailable or have the chat window freeze up and glitch on me over and over and over without letting me type a single word. How did my dispute escalate to a claim immediately...

I opened up a dispute over some airline tickets that PayPal marked as suspicious and then made me change my password. There is no way I purchased or used these tickets. I filed a dispute in the resolution center and less than 3 hours later I was informed that my claim had been found not unauthorized use. I don’t know how my dispute escalated to a claim before anyone could respond or I could request to escalate to a claim. There is no way it was me on the flight and I lost my ID 3 weeks ago when my son accidentally threw it away so I don’t know how they could have investigated and determined that I flew on it or booked it even. What can I do? I get that no one was prepared for this kind of global meltdown and the complications that would take place but those errors are the problem everyone seems to be having and with limited customer service personnel everywhere and delayed response times this is when customers need PayPal to step up for them most not just step away and allow things to slip through the cracks with no human to communicate these issues to when they happen. We are all scared and everyone is worried about how to survive financially the last thing we need is the institutions that we count on to protect us escalating anything for us right now. ...
