I sold an item in December and was left very positive feedback. No problems until 1st Feb (36 days later) when the buyer says the item is now faulty and wants their money back. PayPal account is now in negative whilst the dispute has been logged. eBay has a 30 day money back guarantee period but I’m told PayPal has 180 days. Does this mean I have to accept the now faulty item back even though it was in perfect working order when I sold it? This seems very unfair. The item incidentally runs into nearly £2k in value and I am losing faith in a system where anyone can just use and abuse stuff and get refunded regardless.
