You basically would lose the case even when it gets reopened but, you can try anyways and see if they would reopen it by calling paypal and getting an agent and asking them about reopening the case. Either way they wouldn't really side with you as I had this happen to me too protection is basically non existent.

If the buyer used a card they can easily just go to the card issuer and get a full refund from them and paypal will tell you they cannot do anything about that and no matter what you cannot win the case. All they have to do is say it was an unauthorized transaction making seller protection basically nothing but, a joke really.

Recently I had one of my accounts stolen for g2g.com and I was never able to get g2g or paypal to even get me my refund as I am not the one that even receives the items or goods made using that account. They full on sided with the sellers the moment they provided any sort of tracking even if it was not under my name nor even to my address. Clearly their seller/buyer protections are a lie they would just side with the fraudsters regardless of proof.

If you used card for it go to your card issuer and tell them it was an unauthorized transaction to do a chargeback for something you never got or call into paypal to have them try to find the transaction for you. chances are though even if you were able to open a case paypal would side with the seller if they provide any sorta tracking info.

Paypal basically doesn't protect anyone really buyers can just do friend and family and call their card issuer get a refund, sellers just provide anything proving they sent something at all = auto win. The reps can even tell you anything at all saying yeah we got you and still basically throw you under and let the fraudster or other party win the cases.

You have to call paypal themselves to get that changed I had the same issue, also I wouldn't get your hopes too high about winning the case as I had a item legit not even be delivered to me and lost the case paypal even after giving them proof and information of me trying to cancel orders, still sided with the seller.

Paypal has actually been siding with fraudsters and scammers a lot if you actually read a ton of other community posts. They would give any reason to just say they cannot help I am already almost at the end of my rope even trying to get paypal to respond to me and help me. I basically lost any trust in being protected by them cause even with supposed protection as long as the other party decides to dispute they let them win. Seller gives tracking info real or fake they win, Buyer say it's unauthorized to their bank they auto win. Paypal protection is basically just a joke really people even stated I talked to a representative about this and they said no you didn't. They only said do legal action against them go to ic3.gov and guess what they never responded what a surprise.

I will tell you right now that paypal did something like this to me as well I never received any goods from a seller and cause the seller provided tracking information they still ruled against me and let the seller get away with things. Apparently all you can do is to call paypal to get them to change it to " significantly not as described" and hope paypal rules it in your favor when you provide the information again. Lately even in all these community posts paypal hasn't being helping their victims at all.

Considering how paypal is right now there is a chance of you not getting your money back even if it was paid as g&s. They weren't even on my side even after stating and providing information that proves that the other party was at fault and still ruled on the fraudster/scammers side before in other members cases.
