Re: Payment on hold

Hi ,  The “Confirm Receipt” option is not available for eBay holds.   Please review the following FAQs: Why is my payment from a sale on eBay on hold?   If you didn't already add the tracking information for the payment you received, here's how to add tracking information: Go to Activity. Locate the payment, click on it and then click Add tracking info. Enter the required information on the ‘Enter Tracking Information and Order Status’ page and click Save. In an effort to create a safer online payments community, we’re placing your payments from sales on eBay to one side, in your pending balance. This is commonplace for new or inexperienced sellers on eBay. This process helps to prevent losses by keeping your money secure. It also makes buyers feel safer and more likely to return and purchase again. Typically, you’ll have access to these pending payments within: Within 24 hours after we confirm the order was delivered if you pay for shipping and print labels on eBay. Within 24 hours after we confirm the order was delivered if you ship directly using UPS or FedEx and manually enter your tracking information to My eBay. Seven days after your latest estimated delivery date, if you don't upload tracking information but you mark the item as shipped in My eBay. 21 days after the buyer pays, if you don't provide tracking information, mark the item as shipped, or the estimated delivery date can't be calculated. Your payments are less likely to be placed into your pending balance when you're an experienced seller. Below are some examples of the type of criteria that will help you to be considered as an experienced seller, but this is not an exhaustive list: At least 90 days have passed since your first successful sale on eBay You’ve received at least $250 from eBay sales You’ve had at least 25 eBay sales Your sales don't result in higher-than-normal amounts of buyer complaints You resolve disputes quickly (if they arise) The items you sell are not higher-risk items Keeping your Profile and Wallet details (such as phone numbers and card expiry date) up to date. To find out how to prevent your future payments being placed into your pending balance, log into your eBay account and visit your Seller Dashboard. If you use PayPal postage to send an item related to a pending payment, the cost of your postage label will be released when you print the label.   Thanks, Avi @emmbo76 ... View more

Re: PayPal and Airbnb Refund

Hi @ShadowRevan20    You've said in the original post that your "bank is trying to help, but says all PayPal has to do is refund it! "   Your refund will initially go back to the PayPal balance before being auto swept back to the original funding source (bank). It may take up to 5 business days for the refund amount to appear on your bank account.   Is it possible that you're still within the 5 business days and that's why you can't see the refund?   I know this isn't a conciliation, but you must remember what was the reason you've had to cancel this payment - the COVID-19 pandemic.   We have taken action as COVID-19 has spread, to protect the physical well-being and financial security of our employees so that they are in a position to care for their health while also supporting our customers. Many employees are now working remotely, and we will also be transitioning several of our customer service centers to this remote working structure. As these employees make the transition, we might see an impact on wait times for our phone or email service. During this time, you can find immediate answers to your questions on the PayPal Help Center. We greatly appreciate your patience and understanding as we work through this together. The commitments we have made to support and care for our employees will ensure that we are ready and equipped to also support our customers during these uncertain times.   Where can I find the refund status in my PayPal account? From your PayPal app, you can view your refund status by tapping Your activity. From your computer, here's how: Click Activity at the top of the page. Select your date range located to the left of the search bar. Click Filters and select Refunds. Click the refunded transaction to view the details.   Here are a few common refund statuses you may see: Pending: The refund is still processing from the sender's payment method. It usually takes 3-5 business days from the date the refund was issued for it to be completed and credited back to the original form of payment. Refunded or Partially Refunded: The refund is complete. The money has been credited to the original form of payment. Temporary hold: The transaction was refunded before it has cleared your bank. It'll take 3-5 business days for the money to clear your bank, and then the refund will be credited to your bank account.   Thanks, Avi ... Re: I can't link my card

Hi @Balaflows    We ask you to link and confirm your card to verify that you are the card owner. Here’s how to link and confirm your card: Log in to your PayPal account. Click Wallet at the top of the page. Click + Link a card or bank. Click Link a debit or credit card. Enter your details and click Link Card. Click the new card and then click Confirm Card. If you have already added your card, or if you have trouble completing these steps, then you can access it directly by logging in to your PayPal account and visiting https://www.paypal.com/mem-number. In some cases, your card may be automatically confirmed. If this is the case, no further action is required. If the card you are adding is already confirmed on another PayPal account, you may be prompted to complete additional steps. We’ll charge your card $1.95 USD. This charge and a 4-digit PayPal code appear on your card statement within 2 to 3 business days. The code sequence appears as PayPal*1234CODE or PP*1234CODE. You will need the first 4 digits to confirm your card. After the card is confirmed, we will immediately refund the card. Your card issuer will credit your card balance within 30 days from the date of the refund. If you can’t access your online statement or this 4-digit code is unavailable online, check your next paper statement for this code. We cannot provide you with the 4-digit confirmation code by any other method. After you have confirmed your card, we immediately refund the amount charged to the same card. You can view the refund in your transaction history. If the card is not confirmed within 75 days since the confirmation process started, the charge will be automatically refunded to your card. If you remove your card or close your account during the time frames above, the return of the credit may not process. In these instances, you may need to contact PayPal Customer Service to have the charge manually refunded. To enter the 4-digit PayPal code to confirm your card there should be a notification on your home page. Otherwise: Log in to your PayPal account Click Wallet near the top of the page. Click the card you're confirming. Enter the 4-digit PayPal code from your card statement and submit.   Thanks, Avi ... View more

Hi @Michellefarris    What credit cards can I use with PayPal? You can use Visa, MasterCard, Discover, or American Express cards that have a registered billing address to make PayPal payments. Another fast and easy option is paying with your bank account. Many PayPal members choose to pay with their bank accounts because it’s a convenient way to keep their spending under control. However you choose to pay, we’ll send you a receipt every time a payment is made from your account so that you can keep track of your transactions. And we look out for you. We’ll let you know if we notice any unusual account activity.   Thanks, Avi ... View more

Hi @Tawfiq1    You didn't mention if you tried using a bank account or a credit/debit card.   Please try a different card and/or bank and if this doesn't resolve the issue, you might want to try to re-add your card/bank and then try again.   We're sorry for the inconvenience!   Thanks, Avi ... Hi @dej2020    I would recommend you to remove your card, add it again, link and confirm the card and try again.   Here' how to add a debit or credit card to your PayPal account: You can add a Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover or Union Pay (in select countries) credit card to your PayPal account. Here’s how to add a card to your account: Log in to your PayPal account. Click Wallet at the top of the page. Click Link a debit or credit card. Enter your card information, and click Link Card. Tip: When you add a card, you may be notified of a 1 USD charge to your card. The charge on your card is temporary to confirm if your card is ready to use with PayPal. It usually takes a few minutes to receive the refund back to your card but it can take up to 30 days depending on your card issuer. You can link up to 24 credit or debit cards in your PayPal account. To confirm the card ownership, we’ll charge your card a small amount of 1.95 USD to generate a unique 4-digit PayPal code on your card statement. You’ll need to find the code on your card statement and enter it on the PayPal website. The 1.95 USD charge will be refunded to your card once the card is confirmed or if the 4-digit code is left unused for 75 days. The refund may take up to 30 days to appear on your card statement. Here’s how to request a 4-digit PayPal code to confirm your card: Log in to your PayPal account. Click Wallet near the top of the page. Click on the card you want to confirm. Click Confirm card. Review the process and click OK. This unique 4-digit code will appear near our charge on your online card statement within 2 to 3 business days. For example, if you see PP*1234CODE or PayPal*1234CODE on your statement, then “1234” is your code. If you can't access your online statement, please wait for your next paper statement or contact your card issuer. Once you have the code ready, here’s how to complete the card confirmation: Log in to your PayPal account. Click Wallet near the top of the page. Click on the card you want to confirm. Enter the 4-digit code and click Confirm. Thanks, Avi ... View more
