im having trouble adding my visa debit card to my account.

hello, i just made a paypal account, i bought a $100 visa debit card. i put it on the account, verified it and blah blah blah, now it only says my paypal balence is $1.70 when the website for my visa card says $95. what do i do?

Hey lucaszielinski-  Lemme help out on this one. 

I'm actually surprised that you could get a prepaid Visa card on there in the first place; our system really isn't designed to work with prepaid cards, but if it worked, I'm not going to say anything 🙂

Here's where the problem lies.  Our system never knows what's on the card, at least not that you can see in your balance.  The $1.70 you're seeing is more than likely the refund from linking and confirming the card in the first place.  You won't actually see a balance from the card in our system.  When you go to make a purchase, our system queries the card to see what's available; if there's enough funds it'll go through, if not....well, you get the picture. 🙂
