Why, after 9 months and many purchases, does Pay Pal not recognize me anymore?

  I wanted to make a purchase this evening, but pay pal chose not to recognize the e-mail address or password that I have used for months.  Strangely enough, when I chose to use "bill me later", all of a sudden everything was ok.  WTF?

have you tried logging into your paypal directly.

  No, why should that make any difference?  How would I make a purchase on Ebay doing so?

Sites Pushing Bill me later- e bay qvc all channels- make money tell you you get 5-10 dollars. Can't buy it forget it Just another debt warning. I would call paypal directly. One site I know I have to scroll to the end to pay my way and not bill me later.
