Paypal boasts of protecting their customers, but as I read these posts I get the feeling that it's not true. I recently sold a camera to a man in Boston. I emailed him to tell him I would be out of the country and could not send it until two weeks later but he still went ahead and filed a dispute. When I returned I sent him his merchandise as promised and sent the information to Pay pal along with the routing number and proof that it had been delivered. Pay pal held my payment and is still holding it. An electronic message tells me they are "investigating."
Then I received an email from the customer asking me to ship the item to CHINA ! I had already shipped it to Boston and I told him so, but apparently he speaks broken English and does not understand.
Despite repeated attempts to recover my money,more than $500.00, Paypal has done nothing to help me. Whenever possible in the future I will find other places to sell something and avoid buyers who seem to be outside the United States.
I will also post messages on every message board I can find to warn people about this.
