Matching up payment with registration suggestions

Hello

I run a not for profit agency. We use paypal for registration or to purchase membership.  The problem I am running into is a member will register as John smith, but his paypal acccount is in another name. How do I match up my registration with a confirmed payment? Is it possible to add a line on paypal so a member must identify as they registered? Accountability is a huge concern.  Any suggestions?

Welcome to the Community .

There is a way to add a text field when you create a PayPal button in step one. When you create the button you are allowed include up to 30 characters in the text box. I hope this helps.
