HORRIBLE IDEA TO HOLD FUNDS FOR 21 DAYS!!!

Holding funds from sellers until the buyer leaves feedback is the worst idea EVER! Since when does Paypal become an authority on buyer satisfaction?? A smooth transaction is all that I wanted from Paypal. If they are going to hold funds, then they should make it very clear BEFORE you use them! Keeping my money in their account for 21 days is a HUGE disadvantage of using Paypal. Stick to transferring funds, not trying to be a satisfaction authority!

Hi at the risk of sounding like a broken record, to those new to the forum and just now have encountered the issues with PayPal may I suggest you try searching through this forum or a few pages back. Everyone has been making every effort to post links, offer support and help i n general. There is a website already up and running and we keep posting the link but it is www.letssuepaypal.com. You just need to register there and tell your story. Several law firms are interested but we need numbers. Also it may interest you to know that Paypal held funds in 2002 and a class action suit filed in 2004 eBay/Paypal settled for 9.3 million for the class and 3.4 million for the attorneys fees and costs.

I see you like my expression, huh? Well, it's true. And I wonder if all those people actually went back and checked out those previous pages. So far I haven't seen where any of them have. Like you said, at least I'll backtrack and skim through some of the links and give some type of feedback! Because I still find all this stuff to be absolutely incredible! And for another sports analogy, yes it seems like all the rookies want to step onto the court and start playing when they really should have a seat on the bench and check the game out first!

Hi. I am an attorney just outside Austin, Texas, and I have a meeting with another law firm Monday to discuss this very topic. I am a seller on eBay, and have been wronged by this practice more than once.
You and all other interested wronged sellers are welcome to contact me. Here is my contact information:
Laura Vickers
The Vickers Law Firm, PC
laura at the vickerslawfirm dot com (If I put it in any other way, Paypal removes it)
512.858.0900
Email is the best way to contact me about this, since I'm hoping we get some response. Thanks so much, and have a great weekend. Hope you sell something!
Laura

We have a third person, it looks like people are jumping on board. Time to rock the ship with Pay-Pal. Money is a protected Liberty Interest, look it up. Matter of Fact, it has not been challenged as a Protected Liberty Interest in a very long time. I bet the United States Supreme Court would like to hear this one considering all the multi-million and multi-billion dollar rip offs that have happened recently. Administrative Policy and rule, is just like law it has the same effect and is an issue that can be challenged. Someone is making a huge profit here, maybe we have to agree to them holding our money, but they cannot force us to agree to them collecting interest on our money without the proper notification. They have not notified anyone as to how much money they are collecting on interest from all the held money. Pretty simple logic, their intend is to protect the consumer, we as users of Pay-Pal (Buyers and Sellers Alike) are also consumers, so if their intend is to protect us, then where is the interest on the held money?

This is not the way I want to be treated as a business with a 100% rating on ebay. All this means is that I will be using Pay Pal less.

I have been a member of eBay since '99, I have 100% positive rating.
Do you mean to tell me that for no actual reason, Paypal can hold payments?
Seriously?
