Sorry to hear the same happened to you! I also ship priority whenvever possilbe and give refunds when I feel they are due. Try my very best to have a great honest business! Also trying to grow my businesss that would make even more money for myself, ebay & paypal. I could purchase tons of goods to sell with the almost $1,000.00 they are holding.
I'm sure that if you have ever called or emailed that you always get the same scripted replies. These people are also trying to make a living as we are. They have no other choice. They do not have a clue what the higher ups and the people that have a little power are doing or capable of. A little power can be dangerous in the wrong hands! I surely hope that carma will come in and whoever I feel "did me in and got in out for me" will reep theirs. When he/she looses their job, maybe they will be in the same position. I keep trying to live by faith and do good to others. I thoroughly believe that people who do not, will get theirs in the end.
My gosh! I live this site. While I cannot do anything expect to find other funding options, choose to sell someplace else or stick with it and develope a stomach ulcer, at least I can ventilate my frustrations to others in the same boat.
I have tons of friends who sell on ebay. They are mortified at what happened to me. Absolutely unbelievable! Even the brand new sellers who have started selling the same goods, are on a 21 day hold until their positive feedbacks, etc. come in. Then they are released. Maybe these people really think that we are not a big family and know what happens to each other. We actually all help each other.
I think that what happened to me is strictly personal! I try not be paranoid about this; however, what else can you believe. The note on my record not to remove the reserve tells you the story. Initially I was told to contact them again after 60 days to have the hold removed. That was last Sept. The last time I spoke to someone, I was told that the reserve was indefinite. They said it was going to happen to everyone. If this is so, why the 21 day hold for the new sellers and then stopped. Is it all lies?
So all you sellers who are Power Sellers, 100% pos feedback, experienced, selling items that are not high risk, etc, who think you are safe, Think again! It can happen to anyone at anytime!
It is my opinion that these people have attorneys that they pay a ca-zillion dollars, much more than we all make toghether, to create the fine print, policies, etc to prevent law suits, etc.. And there is always the statement that we can change our policies anytime. It doen't matter what you signed up with initially.
It is also my opinion that we are simply 'pond scum' to them. Maybe they do not realize that thousands of us 'pond scum' keep them in business!
OK, now I expressed my opions! Now I can be further punished of chastised. They could do a lot to me by making my listings low on the search and lots of other things. When this first happened to me, I was so furious and frustrated that someone took total and complete contol of my money that I went on some forums and blogs and expressed my opinion. I even added, 'does this sound communist to you?' I had never had the time to do this prior or have been on them since. I was emailed by several people that it was fighting a battle that could not be one. Or course, they were removed. What else do you do with frustration and total helplessness? To me, frustration is the worse emotion ever! It can make you do things you would usually do. And one consistant, over all times, is that you do not mess around with someones money! This is why I say, watch what you say & write, it will be held against you. I stay so busy trying to keep a great business, that I do not always keep up on the news. Are we still free in this country? We are loosing our freedoms so quickly! Do we still have freedom of speech? Have the laws changed and I'm just not aware. I am a usually a sweet little southern bell who tries to do right by everyone, but I'll tell you that I will fight to the death to stand up for what I believe is right and just and for my family! And that's one damned freedom that noone can take away from me until they decide to put us to death for excercising it! And so be it.
Sorry to go on and on! What a way to ventitlate! Not sure if I will ever get over this!
And by the way, the check boxes checked with the resolved part is only because they are tired of beating a 'dead horse', have no explanations except the same ol scripted ones and are just tired of hearing complaints from us 'pond scum'. Now we check the little box and all is well. Go away you 'pond scum'. Sorry the more I think about it, the madder I get.
After practicing as an RN for years and years, we always heard about what the RN's made in pay, etc. Little did these companies, hospitals, etc. know that without RN's, they could not stay in business! Same as with any business. Without the peons, you have no business!
OK, so I can ventilate until the cows come in! Wonder how long this site will function? Then we'll have to ventilate on other sites.
