HORRIBLE IDEA TO HOLD FUNDS FOR 21 DAYS!!!

  Holding funds from sellers until the buyer leaves feedback is the worst idea EVER! Since when does Paypal become an authority on buyer satisfaction?? A smooth transaction is all that I wanted from Paypal. If they are going to hold funds, then they should make it very clear BEFORE you use them!  Keeping my money in their account for 21 days is a HUGE disadvantage of using Paypal. Stick to transferring funds,not trying to be a satisfaction authority!

Yeah, I know what you mean.   I'm in the same boat.   You won't have to wait 21 days though.    They release payment immediately upon the buyer leaving positive feedback.   At least this is what I am experiencing.  Also, if they don't leave feedback, they will release the payment 3 days after delivery confirmation proves the item was delivered AND without the buyer making any complaints/disputes.  To avoid hassles and headaches purchase all your shipping labels through paypal.....that way paypal will be able to see for themselves that the items have been delivered.   Yes....this completely and totally blows, but there really isn't anything we can do about it.   Paypal is not offering any resolution to legitimate, honest sellers.  They are not willing to work with the good people.  We just have to ride it out until it goes away.   While this unwarranted hold hasn't stopped me from selling YET....it has stopped me from selling internationally.    There is no delivery confirmation for international first class shipping and customs can keep the package held up for nearly a month.    I, like you, do not want to wait almost a month for my money.    So.....as long as I sell within the U.S., I've been able to get my money in 3 to 7 days after shipping each item.    No, I don't like it....but it is better than 21 days.

I haven't sold anything in a long time, so this is a new one on me. I got an e-mail from PayPal saying my money will be released when I send a valid tracking number. When I look at my account, the only thing there is the request I made for the money. It says it's pending but there's no pending incoming money. No separate listing for a payment being held. Is this normal?

P.S. I also have no print lable button for it. So I can't even get the money to ship it.

Take a look at the "hold" policy and note the last section concerning shipping.

YEAH im ready to boycott. Of course they will let you get the shipping money out when its on hold,Because eBay and paypal work together. Then act like they have no idea what the other is doing. Their partners in crime. 

They want you to pay higher prices for shipping because it benefits them. I ship some of my small items in envalopes with Forever stamps because its the most cost effective way. But they want me to spend extra money for tracking numbers now. On a item thats worth 1.99 i will be paying money to give them the item, Which is EXACTLY what they want to happen.

Ebay says i can sell 100 items or $5000 dollars. LIE LIE LIE i can LIST 100 free then they charge me for every listing AFTER even if it doesn't sell.

Then after selling no problem still with with eBay and 100% feedback PAYPAL says i need to upgrade my account. And the only way to do so is to sign up for there Scam of a credit card $5 each use Or 1% of each transaction is robbery. 

Its all about eBay and paypal being greedy! BOYCOTT NOW!

oh my gosh i agree.  I have sold something, they received it and gave me a great review and the money is still being held until may 21st.  Of course I can pay for seller insurance an pay.   What a joke for sellers to have to wait.

Yes it is something that will surely take the wind out of your sails. You sell something, they take their cuts right up front and you the seller have to wait or beg someone to say something nice about your product, and then you might still have to wait almost a month before you receive your funds. I can tell you it sure has for me, I have not even tried to sell anything cause of this junk way of doing business. Sheesh they get an arm and a leg for you to sell something in the first place then they add insult to injury. Look at the additional things they are trying to come up to get more sellers to sell items, but those of us that really know whats going on have went to other avenues.

You all know which sales are doing good and those sales are local.

It's the 21 day that its been on hold, this should be the last right? and the buyer left positive feedback a while ago, why hasn't it gone through yet.

omg i am so sick of having to deal with you **bleep**! i have a perfect ebay seller rating and money in my paypal account for years and now you think it's okay to put a 3 week hold on my money??? i have done nothing wrong and was told that, they also told me that i can't get my money after selling something unless they give me positive feedback, IT'S MY MONEY! I'TS MY PRODUCTS THAT I'M SELLING! WHAT GIVES YOU THE RIGHT TO SAY I CAN'T HAVE MY MONEY?!?!?!?! your company is a joke and you are all thieves! this is the reason i always avoid using paypal unless i absolutely have too.

I have never seen such a blatant ploy to milk millions in intrest from ones good customers accounts! I really miss the old days when just getting rich was good enough. Now they gotta wring ya like an old dishrag!
