Holding funds from sellers until the buyer leaves feedback is the worst idea EVER! Since when does Paypal become an authority on buyer satisfaction?? A smooth transaction is all that I wanted from Paypal. If they are going to hold funds, then they should make it very clear BEFORE you use them! Keeping my money in their account for 21 days is a HUGE disadvantage of using Paypal. Stick to transferring funds, not trying to be a satisfaction authority!

Watch for this guy feverishly defending paypal in here. Acting like the voice of reason. There is uprising in the masses against paypal and ebay and there is certainly a class action lawsuit pending. And let me tell ya they have had a few. But I have been in several forums on this topic and amid the people who are enraged by this latest attempt to grab money they have no entitlement to, in each on there is one person who adamantly defends paypal. In every forum. The folks are strategicly placed there by paypal to try to quell some of the anger because they know it's dirty. And they didn't plan on us knowing what they were pulling with the frozen funds and what they are gaining from them. Quite a tidy interest profit from our millions of collective and frozen dollars! So keep going!! You'd be surprised how many are contacting congress, the BBB, federal trade commisiion, NBC, ABC, CBS. If we don't act, the next dirty trick will be twofold!! Time to show them who's money, transactions, accounts, and businesses these are!

I'm kinda thinkin this may be a way also to eliminate the small seller's. true we were the ones who built Ebay and Paypal, but they have grown to have many many large sellers with huge volumes and consider us "troublesome" and they are content and secure with their larger clientele and don't need or want us anymore. But if we do care to stick around and take the abuse, so be it. They'll just freeze our accounts by the millions, snatch their fees up right away, and collect interest payments on them until we go away. Dunno about you but it makes me mad as ****!

I have been following this blog daily and I see the same questions asked over and over especially about a class action suit.
From day one a website was set up and a law firm already taking information. Please register with letssuepaypal.com. I have already been contacted by the firm asking for details.
Additionally please, please don't really solely on this blog to voice your frustrations--if nothing else copy and paste you complaints into emails an letters the Better Business Bureau on their main site and also in California, where eBay and Paypal have established that California will govern.
The FTC--Federal Trade Commission is probably one of the best places to file a dispute-they take action and have authority to investigate.
It does not hurt to file a complaint with the Securities and Exchange Commission for those who have their money in their money market account so as to get a dividend of a few pennies every few months--Paypal actually falls under their jurisdiction as well.
Make noise, letters to the editor, consumer reporters at your local television station but put as much effort into your actions as you are putting into your entries on this blog.
I will not be using Paypal again or eBay but I am making waves for in looking back this action was long overdue in forcing me to take a look at the addictive relationship I have had with eBay and Paypal--or probably just my laziness but now I am mad--So don't take it anymore!

I completely agree. This is rediculous. It can't help but think that they are withholding because they are using the funds for themselves and have come up with an ingenious way of excusing it. Very unfair. The 21 days is unbelievable. I feel violated.

I have a perfect feedback score and never had a dispute,
I'm going to file a complaint with the Attorney General in charge of consumer affairs of my State because adequate notice was not given to me to withdraw items for sale and withdraw money. They implimented this without warning.
I hope to contact every local meadia outlet and complain. One TV station has already expressed interest. Call Dave Ramsey and Clark Howard. Go to **bleep** eBay and papal.

PayPal we know you are here reading these as you have edited & banned many peoples Posts and have a few Ghost Accounts Posting here to reason with us angry Sellers.
We here are not going to stop pushing forward as we like to see you out the door on eBay. Things were so much easier back then when a Seller had the rights to except many payment options and if we CHOSE to have PayPal which many of us did not, we would of clicked PayPal. Most Sellers did not as we saw how much you were taking out of our pockets, and for what ???? To make you rich with our money !!!!! We were smarter than you thought back then till you had eBay change their Policies so we had no choice in you being the only Provider. Many left eBay " yes " but some stayed and now we are here to stay and working on getting you to be shut down.
PayPal I hope you have a great team of supportive Lawyers as you are being hit in every direction - - Up, Down, Left, Right.... If we Sellers can't have back what you have taken from us which is the Interests you have earned I hope you get hit hard with Millions on top of Millions in Court Restitution Fees. I also hope the Courts make you lose your license and pay all the interest money to healthier causes like Children's Hospitals etc.... That will make me feel much better knowing it went to great causes......
Bring your Bank Account #ers for fast Transactions as the Court will want the money up front.
Oh and another thing .... Bubba Joe in Prison is going to love to see some new Cream Puffs coming his way. Boy what would I pay to see this happen to the PayPal Team....Oh wait ....You already got paid.....You have my money.....I get front row seats. 🙂

Ya, its a very stressful feeling to do business with paypal. Just wait until you are rolling along smoothly and they decide to hold your orders in case there are returns. They dont realize that every day people are selling there stuff to pay bills, not to rip people off.

What are you talking about? This policy doesn't have anything to do with buyers just sellers...
