I want to sell something on eBay, and when I try to link my PayPal Student Account to eBay, I get an error message.

1) Choose your payment method

2) Sign in with PayPal account

3) "Sorry, this feature is not available at this time. You have requested an outdated version of PayPal. This error often results from the use of bookmarks."

The PayPal Student Account shows a check under "eBay Tools":

https://www.paypal.com/cgi-bin/webscr?cmd=xpt/Marketing/general/PayPalAccountTypes-outside

What does "eBay Tools" mean?

Does the parent account have to set permissions on the student account? If so, which permissions?

Student accounts are designed for those people under legal age.

You can't sell on ebay unless you're  of legal age.

The PayPal Student Account page says, "Anyone 13 years or older can have one".

I assume the legal age is 18. Correct?

However, I am 19.

Unfortunately, your reply does not answer the error message that says the link is outdated.

If you're 19, then I suggest that you set up your own Paypal account, not a student one.  I think you'll have more luck selling using that account than a student account - the system may fight you on the student account.

And, whether or not you can set up a student account when you're 13 is irrelevant - you cn't sell on ebay when you're 13, it's a violation of the site rules.

The "link is outdated" issue is just Paypal not keeping up with their housekeeping.
