Hi Community,
I have a client who is considering using PayPal for his adult novelties store. I've read the AUP and note its vague language on this topic [“You may not use PayPal for activities that (2) relate to sales of… (e) items that are considered obscene, …(g) certain sexually oriented materials or services…”]. My research finds that several big-name online adult novelties stores do offer PayPal as a payment option, and it does not appear that their catalogs are restricted in any obvious way. My client does not want to go through the expense and time of setting up shop only to have it taken down for an inadvertent conflict. Does anyone know a source that would be able to confirm what my client could or could not sell and still accept PayPal? Is <aup-at-paypal-dot-com> the right contact? Thanks for any help.

It sure is! That's the department you would want to email with details of your venture to determine if your planned usage would be acceptable. We wouldn't want you to get it all set up, only to have it torn down, either. That would be frustrating!
