I linked my credit card with my old Paypal account, but I closed the old account without deleting the card from the account.
Now I registered a new account, and I can't link this card with it. The app shows:
This card is linked to another PayPal account. Please remove the card from the other account or try a different payment method.
The old paypal account is deleted, I can no more login. How can I proceed to link my card with the new account?
Thank you for your help.

Well paypal does not support it if you have been limited on your "old" account, if you were then your card is useless to paypal now but you can always appeal in the support.. https://www.paypal.com/us/cshelp/personal

Hi,
I am no longer actively using the email linked to my PayPal account, so I decided to make a new account and start fresh.
I made the new account but it won't let me link my credit card as it says "This card is already linked to another PayPal account".
I had already unlinked this card from my original PayPal account yet it still says this error?
I tried linking the card back onto my original PayPal account and it says this:
We couldn't confirm your information.
Your card is still linked to your PayPal account, but you can't use it for purchases until you confirm that you're the owner. Please try confirming it again or contact the card issuer.
I tried to confirm that I'm the owner but it still comes up with the same error. Please help since this is an unresolvable issue on my end!

You are only allowed x2 paypal accounts if x1 is personal and the other x1 is business, if you have 2 of the same type you risk them both being limited.
However why do you need to open a new account? Why not just change the email address on your original account to your new email address? >>>>
Go and click on the profile tab (icon next to log out) > click on the + and add another/new email address first > verify it > go back and click on update and tick the box underneath that says make primary > then you should get the remove option by the old now no longer primary email. You can remove that one or leave it on as you can have up to 8 email addresses on the one paypal account.
