Credit Card already in use

I can’t use my credit card in my PayPal account because it says it’s in another paypal account, but i deleted the old account and i still get this message what can i do

Did you remove the card as they advise you to do during the close account process?

yes, i did it before deleting it but somehow i still get this message

Allow 72 hours between removing and trying to re-add it to a new account to allow the system to update.
