Paypal won't link to Wise

Hi, I'm in the UK, my Paypal account is also UK based.

I've got some USD$ in my Paypal account that I want to convert into GBP£ - but the PayPal fees are just too high to do it within Paypal, I will lose about $6,000 because the fees are extortionate or/ the rate is too high compared to the market rate, (however you want to look at it).

So I opened a UK Wise account with a USD 'sub account' so that I could transfer the USD from my PayPal into my Wise account, then I can convert it into GBP. The problem is that PayPal is asking me for a sort code for Wise, but Wise isn't giving me a sort code, it's giving me a Routing number instead. I just can't seem to find a solution here to make this connection, I've been at it for hours...

I'm having exactly the same issue and going around in circles, so I wondered if you'd had any luck since you posted?  I've read various posts online about this being possible in the past, but it sounds like Paypal have closed down this facility.   Unfortunately I make use of a foreign service that can only send funds to Paypal, so it looks like i'm stuck with paying them their 'tax' just to get the money out - and pay it back to my USD Wise account!
