Having issues with linking bank account

I have been trying to link my bank account with my PayPal account but it is not allowing me to as it says that another account is already using the same bank account. How is it possible? My earlier account was deactivated so I created another account. The Paypal exec is saying that I can't use the same email to create another account. But I have emails from PayPal from earlier in the same email. How do I resolve this?

Did you remove your bank account from the closed paypal account before you closed it?

If you didn't then only customer services 'may' be able to remove it for you.

The account was deactivated by PayPal. In fact, I have a feeling that I probably had some money in it too. Can't be sure though

If you mean paypal limited it? Then you can't remove or use anything that was linked to that limited account unfortunately.

Also did they allow you to open another paypal account?
