error : I can only receive goods and services,,

when my friend in USA tries to deposit money to my paypal account using his paypal balance he gets the error above

note: im in UAE

The friends/family option is not available in your country so all payments are received as goods/services.

Also the funds in the senders balance have to be in the correct currency that you can receive on your paypal account, paypal do not convert funds in a balance, only from a bank account or card during the payment process.

I think your best bet is for you and your friend to use xoom?
