ebay payments to paypal wallet use wrong funding source and can not change!?

Ive recently noticed that on ebay checkout both in app and website that when choosing paypal for payment I can no longer coose my funding source.  It's defaulting to a bank account i dont want to use!

in paypal wallet i have a preferred funding source set to Paypal Smart Connect - but it's not using that either??  straight from a bank account i don't want to use currently for these payments.

i can't pick a credit card or other bank account.. no options at all.   whats the point of a wallet if we cant use multiple sources??

Happening to me to. Can’t choose my funding source from eBay checkout cause the option is no longer there. Want to use my home bank debit card. I’ve set it to preferred, yet PayPal just keeps on charging my PayPal Mastercard which I’m on the verge of just canceling because this is becoming a pain.
